Suspect in Sunday morning homicide charged with capital murder

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - The Birmingham Police Department identified the suspect in Sunday’s early morning homicide as 32-year-old Arkeem Marshall.

After reviewing the details of the investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for capital murder due to a child being present during the homicide.
Marshall is currently in custody at the Jefferson County Jail.
Original Story: At 12:45 a.m., the Birmingham Police Department responded to a person shot call.
Upon arrival to a residence in the 3700 Block of Pine Avenue Southwest, officers found a woman unresponsive suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue arrived to the home and pronounced her dead at the scene.
According to preliminary investigations, the woman was likely shot during a domestic violence incident.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s office confirmed Monday the victim to be 28-year-old TaMira Pullom.
